At the Edge of Tomorrow This Congress attracted many leaders from Latin American units. Practical health issues were addressed, including bone marrow transplantation and the need for tissue typing. Following this theme, Hadassah International proudly honored Jay Feinberg, founder of the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation, as its Citizen of the World. The Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation was established in 1991 as a donor recruitment organization to help save the life of leukemia patient Jay Feinberg. After the Congress, Hadassah International launched an international bone marrow tissue typing drive to meet this need.
Internationally distinguished speakers at the Congress included doctors, authors, and newscasters. Many Young Hadassah International volunteers inspired the delegates with their achievements.
